At first Exotic Vapor's Nutty 555 tobacco disappointed me. The nut flavor totally eluded me. I could not taste or smell a hint of nut flavoring in this e-juice. Although it made for a decent tobacco vape, produced tons of vapor and provided me with a decent throat hit, it didn't live up to its name.
A funny thing happened on the way back to the steeping cabinet. I picked up a bottle of Exotic Vapor's house blend 555 which I had reviewed in the past. I had a flash of intuition. Maybe the bottles were mis-labeled. You know, an accidental switch?
I poured some house blend 555 into a tank and tested my theory. Sure enough, the house blend 555 was full of nutty flavoring. I went back and re-read the review. Sure enough, I wrote it tasted like nuts. So, I am pretty sure they made a small mistake when I ordered. I ordered both house blend 555 and Nutty 555. The bottle labeled 555 is nutty, and the bottle labeled Nutty 555 is not. With that fact in mind, I can confidently say that Exotic Vapor's Nutty 555 sure is nutty!

Exotic Vapors - Kahlua & Cream
Kahlua is known as "The Spirit of Veracruz." Veracruz is a Mexican state known for its agricultural crops and its people. Both premium 100% Arabica coffee and sugarcane, two key ingredients in Kahlua, are grown here.
Kahlua was originally formulated in 1936 and has since become the number one selling rum and coffee liqueur in the world. The coffee component is shade grown hand hand picked in Veracruz. The red coffee cherries are pulped and processed in order to extract the coffee beans. The beans are then air dried and the husk removed. The dried coffee is then aged in a burlap sack for at least six months before the beans are roasted.
The sugarcane component is also grown in Veracruz. The stalks are crushed and the extracted juice is collected and boiled into a molasses. Yeast and water are added and the mix is left to ferment. Once the sugar is converted to alcohol, the spirit is distilled until it reaches the required proof and then it is stored in barrels. Seven years later the coffee and sugarcane end up in the Kahlua distillery. The coffee is roasted and then ground in order to extract the flavor. It is then combined with the sugarcane spirit, vanilla and caramel. It is left to sit for eight weeks and then is filtered and bottled.

I got excited when I saw Kahlua & Cream on Exotic Vapor's menu. I have been a Kahlua fanatic my whole life. My father used to treat us to a Kahlua Supreme on Christmas Eve. Once I made it to legal drinking age, I alternated between Black Russians and Kahlua & Cream. I also experimented with other recipes. I just love the stuff.
I ordered a sample bottle and let it steep for about two months. It's a dark liquid so I decided to test it out in a CE4 clearomizer as I didn't want to gunk up a good coil. It tasted awful. What a let down. I waited until my I-atty tank was empty. I refilled it with Kahlua & Cream. What a difference. This is nice. At eight watts on a Vamo the flavor really starts coming through for me. I feel like I am trying to drink it as I vape it. This is definitely a creamy vape. I'm not getting much in the way of alcohol flavoring, but everything else seems just right.

Exotic Vapors - House Blend Lama

Smokin' Lama e-juice vapes like a cigarette should. It seems that the amount of vapor is just about the same as the amount of smoke a cigarette produces when you inhale and exhale. You don't get huge clouds of vapor, but you get enough to satisfy a "smoker's" desire. It's just right.
I've tried several of Exotic Vapor's tobacco flavors and for me, this one is the best. Does this taste like a Camel? I think so, but who knows for sure? Does it taste like a cigarette? Yes it does. This can easily be an all day tobacco vape any day of the week.
Exotic Vapors - Jamaican Rum Tobacco
"To Life, Love and Loot"
Are you a big fan of Captain Morgan's rum?
Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Rum is a popular rum named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer Sir Henry Morgan. Morgan left Wales in 1654 and headed for the West Indies where he became famous as a legal pirate or Buccaneer. His exploits on the high seas earned him a knighthood. By 1680 he owned a plantation in Jamaica and went on to become Governor of the island. He died in 1688.
Introduced in the United States in 1984, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum is the second largest brand of spirits sold in the United States and seventh largest worldwide. Captain Morgan's Rum is distilled from sugar cane and made with molasses, water, mash and yeast. It is distilled in a continuous still. Once distilled, it is then aged in charred white oak bourbon barrels for up to a year. The charred barrels help release the vanillin, tannins and caramelizing sugars that give Captain Morgan Original its flavor. The aging process also mellows the distilled alcohol and gives the rum its rich golden color. Spices that are indigenous to the Caribbean Islands, and part of a proprietary recipe that gives this rum its unique flavor, are then added.
This juice has had plenty of time to steep. It is sweet as rum should be with a spicy undertone. Although it is mixed with Exotic Vapor's House tobacco, I am not getting much in the way of tobacco flavoring. The spicy rum flavoring really comes through however. In addition to vaping it, I got some in my mouth and it sure does taste like a tasty alcoholic drink.
Gurgling noises and spicy rum in my mouth. My coil is flooded. Switching over from my Kanger Mini Pro 2 to a CE5 clearomizer, the sweet spicy rum flavor is lost. It's producing a ton of vapor, but the taste is nothing like it was in a pyrex tank. I can taste the tobacco flavor now but that sweet spicy rum has been reduced to a subtle undertone. This juice, like most every juice, is best vaped in a pyrex tank. Although the tobacco flavor was very subdued in the Kanger Pro Mini 2, the rum flavor was so vibrant. Get a bottle and vape it in a pyrex tank. It should not disappoint!

Exotic Vapors - Leafy Georgia Peach
Nothing beats eating fresh, ripe, juicy Georgia peaches from a roadside fruit stand. Exotic Vapor's Leafy Georgia Peach is a good substitute if you don't live anywhere near Georgia, or when peaches are out of season.
Peaches were originally planted in St. Augustine, Fl. They were introduced to the St, Simons and Cumberland islands along Georgia's coast by Franciscan monks in 1571. By the mid-1700's, the Cherokee Indians were cultivating both peaches and plums in Georgia. In 1851, Raphael Moses started selling and shipping peaches in champagne baskets which helped preserve the flavor of the fruit. Georgia became known as "The Peach State" after the Civil War. In the early 1900's, Samuel Rumph revolutionized the peach industry with a new variety of peach named after his wife, Elberta. This was a yellow fleshed peach that was superior in quality than any that had come before. Georgia now produces over 40 commercial varieties of peaches. The Elberta is no longer one of them although it is the most famous name Georgia peach. Georgia produced almost eight million bushels of peaches a year in the 1920's. Today, they produce about 2.6 million bushels a year.
Exotic Vapors describes their Leafy Georgia Peach e-juice as "a smooth tobacco with peach undertones." I would have agreed with this before my juice steeped. After letting it steep for a month or so, the peach flavor really stands out. I almost want to drink it.
Peach and tobacco go well together, making for a very pleasant vape. The peach flavor is more than an undertone. The tobacco flavor is not lost however. Sweet and smooth, this is a juice I can easily vape all day, and that is exactly what I have been doing.
If you are looking for a a strong tobacco flavor with a subtle peach undertone, then this juice is best vaped right away. If you enjoy the opposite, a strong peach flavor with a subtle tobacco undertone, let it steep about a month, then enjoy! It seems you can have it either way.

Exotic Vapors - Lucky Seven
You know its going to be a bad day when your tank leaks and you lose all your liquid, I planned on a tankful of Exotic Vapor's House Blend 555 to enjoy with my morning coffee. I filled up and within seconds my tank was empty. I started cussing my Kanger Pro Mini II out and filled it again. Same thing. That was it. The end of the bottle.
I filled my tank up with water and watched it quickly disappear. I did this several times before discovering that I should not be allowed to fill a tank until after I've had some coffee. The coil was missing. No wonder. What a waste of juice.
Well, there was nothing left to do but reach into my bag of tricks and look for another good morning coffee vape. I decided to try Lucky 7. It's a winner. It did not let me down. It lives up to the description, "a robust bold full flavored tobacco." Yes, and it goes well with a good cup of coffee. It reminds me of a cigarette. Lucky Strikes? I don't know, I never smoked one.

Exotic Vapors - Caramel RY4
Hmmmm, not bad. Not bad at all. A caramel flavored RY4 with a hint of vanilla. It's a little sweet with a light and pleasant taste. I don't really taste the tobacco flavor but the caramel really stands out.
The RY line (RY1 thru RY4) is e-cigarette flavoring that was originally developed by Ruyun, the first company to manufacture e-cigarettes. By definition, RY is Ruyan's designation for "sweet tobacco." RY1 has a tobacco flavor with a hint of caramel and RY4 has a caramel flavor with a hint of tobacco.
A lot of companies make their own RY4 blends and few of them taste exactly the same. Exotic Vapor's blend is heavy on the caramel, with a hint of vanilla and a bit of tobacco flavoring.
Caramel RY4 produces lots of vapor. The flavor is interesting as once you inhale it, if you let it sit in your mouth before exhaling, it tastes a bit like vanilla custard. There's not really much else to say. If you want a nice sweet vanilla and caramel vape, this will do. I'll buy it again.

Exotic Vapors - Cuban Special
A cigar is a tightly rolled bundle of dried and fermented tobacco. The tobacco leaves are harvested and aged using a process that combines the use of heat and shade to reduce sugar and water content withoutcausing the leaves to rot. The first part of this process is called curing and takes between 25 and 45 days depending on the environment in which the process is carried out. The flavor and aroma of the tobacco are brought out during the second phase of the process which is called fermentation. Once the tobacco leaves have aged properly, they are sorted for use as filler or wrapper based upon their appearance and overall quality.

Cuban cigars are illegal in the U.S. so we have to assume that Exotic Vapors used Cuban cigar flavoring to make their Cuban Special. So, how does it taste?
Exotic Vapors describes their Cuban Special liquid as "a blend of fine Cigar Tobacco with a hint of Maraschino Cherry."
I don't taste cherry, I taste green olives? Seriously, that was what I was getting from it, green olives. I put it away awhile and tried it again a few days later. Eventually I got it. I taste green olives as I inhale and a subtle hint of Maraschino Cherry as I exhale, as long as I exhale slowly.
In all fairness, I am not a cigar smoker and I have never smoked a Cuban cigar. I think that green olive I am tasting is really cigar tobacco, or at least cigar tobacco flavoring. I am trying to think back to when I did try a puff or two on a cigar and I think it may have tasted similar to this.
I am obviously not someone who should be doing a review on a Cuban cigar juice. I can tell you this however, this juice has a strong flavor that really stands out. There is a good chance that this liquid might satisfy cigar smokers. And, possibly people who like green olives as well.

Exotic Vapors - Melon
It's a bust. No wonder it was on sale for $1.75. According to the product description, Exotic Vapor's Melon e-juice is a cross between honeydew and cantaloupe. I was really looking forward to vaping this as I was in need of something light and refreshing. What I got was lots and lots of vapor but no flavor at all. I tried everything I could think of to make this work. I tried it with three different batteries and a variable voltage usb pass through. No matter what I do, I do not taste melon or any other flavor for that matter.
This juice does produce a lot of vapor. It's kind of fun sitting here and watching how much comes out of my mouth as I exhale. I am taking huge hits in an attempt to experience this flavor, but the flavor eludes me. I thought the problem might be my taste buds. I drank lots of water and waited awhile. No change. I popped a tank of a strawberry liquid from another company onto my battery. I can taste that. Hmmmm, maybe this has to steep some more? I have other flavors from Exotic Vapors that arrived at the same time as the melon juice. They seem fine. I will put this one away for a few more weeks and see what happens.
Fast forward a few weeks later - I can taste it! It does taste like melon! Nice! It's very pleasant. The flavor is subtle, but it is there! Let this one steep about a month before you try it.
And another week goes by...the flavor has really kicked in. This stuff is nice!

Exotic Vapors - Cowboy Blend
I can see this is going to be one of those days. The cap is not on the bottle right. It is cross threaded. I can't get it off. You would think I would just forget about it for now and choose one of several other tobaccos in the collection. Nope. I go off in search of channel locks. Channel locks vs a 5 ml plastic bottle, you can guess who won.
I fill my tank and give it time to soak the wick. My first impression is that it tastes more like a Marlboro Light than a Marlboro Red. I've always thought that Marlboro Lights taste perfume-y. I never liked them for that reason. This liquid seems to have that same perfume-y quality. The description on the website connects this liquid to Marlboro Reds, "This flavor was designed to represent a favorite American smoke. What distinguishes the taste of others like "Cowboy" is primarily the intensity of taste. Similar to Mar Red."
I smoked Marlboro reds for a very long time and I just don't agree. First of all, this is a tobacco flavored juice, not a naturally extracted tobacco juice. I am not picking up a tobacco taste, only this perfume like flavor. It may need to steep longer, but I have a feeling this Cowboy is a really a Cowboy light.
I will let this one steep a few more weeks and give it another shot. They say that tobacco flavors need to steep longer than other juices. At this point, its ok if you like Marlboro Lights. If you are looking for a Red substitute, I don't think this is it.
Update: After steeping about a month, I loaded up another tank. It still had that perfume smell. I started vaping it and wow, it is good! A lot better than I was expecting it to be. I still don't think it tastes like red, but it is spot on for a Marlboro Light. I like it and am going to be ordering more. BTW, its a little sweet and although it smells perfumy in the bottle, I don't taste the perfume anymore.

Exotic Vapors Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
My every day vape of late is Johnson Creek Black Cherry. After a few hours of it, I decided it was time for a switch. What would be a good followup? How about Vanilla Bean Ice Cream? Sounds good to me. Let's see....
Oh yes. This is creamy and smooth. Although I am partial to rich and creamy chocolate ice creams, I have always appreciated a premium vanilla bean ice cream. I also tend to like tobacco based e-juice with a hint of vanilla. I purchased a sample of Exotic Vapor's Vanilla Bean Ice Cream along with a variety of more traditional tobacco flavored juices. I thought it might be a good idea in case I didn't like some of the tobacco juices. I figured I could add a little vanilla and maybe, just maybe, like them better. Actually, I thought of a few non-tobacco juices that might be interesting with a touch of vanilla as well.
Well, I am vaping this straight up. I haven't combined it with anything else yet. This is nice all by itself. I have no idea, besides vanilla bean flavoring, what is in it. The product description says, "No longer do you have to hide the gallon in the back of the freezer, have all the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream you want."
There is nothing to complain about here. This works if you want a vanilla bean experience. I am looking forward to combining it with some coffee and tobacco flavors in the future. It might even go well mixed in with my fav black cherry juice. Hmmm...

Exotic Vapors - House Blend 555
Taste is a very subjective thing. When it comes to e-juice, there is one thing everyone agrees on however, and that is that you should store your e-liquid in a cool dark place. Some people suggest keeping it in the refrigerator and others warn you never to leave it in a hot car. I live in Florida and I have a black mailbox. I have been keeping an eye on that mailbox all day in anticipation of an e-juice delivery.
Finally, it's here! I retrieve the package from the mailbox, open it up and god, its's hot! I mean, seriously hot! Imagine if it had arrived early in the day and sat there until someone came home? It would be boiling, I kid you not! Hmmm, I wonder if this will help them steep? Maybe I will have to order my liquid on ice in the future.
Inside the hot box are seventeen bottles of e-juice all made by Josh B. at Exotic Vapors. I have been looking forward to trying many of these flavors and curious about the others. I inventory them, wanting to try them all at once. Which will be "The Flavor of the Day?"
The only way to decide is to put them all back inside the baggy they came in, close my eyes, and pull one out at random. The winner is "House Blend 555." This is not an exotic flavor but rather a tobacco flavor that I simply wanted to try. Being a smoker, or should I say former smoker, I have a thing for tobacco based, or flavored, e-juice. I have been vaping Johnson Creek smoke juice for years for this very reason. The time has come to try new and different products.
The "555" designation is one you see on hundreds of sites that offer tobacco flavors. "555" is a brand of cigarette manufactured by British American Tobacco. It is short for "State Express 555." The State Express brand consists of several different products including 444, which was made with Macedonian leaf, and 777, which was made with Turkish tobacco. The Virginia blend 555 was the most popular and successful of all.
To be honest, I had never heard of 555 until I switched to e-cigarettes. Not having ever smoked a 555, I have no idea what a 555 liquid strives to imitate. House Blend 555 tastes light and nutty. It reminds me of nuts (peanuts) more so than tobacco. There' not really much else to say about it at this point. It's a light and nutty tobacco flavor that doesn't really remind me of a cigarette, but definitely doesn't taste like a dessert. It makes for a pleasant vape and I imagine it will only get better once it has time to properly steep. The more I inhale, the more I like it. No regrets here.
