Are you looking a nice starter kit for yourself or a smoker you would like to convert over to vaping? Although most of us start out with an eGo and a CE4 clearomizer and then move up, up, up and up some more, getting started can be costly. While it might be nice to skip the eGo and CE4 style clearomizer and invest in a variable voltage device and a pyrex tank, that is a bigger investment than what most new vapers want to pay as they don't yet know if they are going to enjoy vaping.
Vaping Cricket provided us with a Puff Refillable E Cigarette Starter Kit to try out. Its a nice "blister" kit (for those of you new to vaping terminology, that means the pieces are attached to cardboard with see through plastic as in the photo). The kit comes with everything you need to get started.
This is perfect for someone who is just starting out. The kit is relatively inexpensive and includes a 650 mah battery, two 1.6 ml clearomizers, a usb charger and a wall adapter. In addition, Cricket includes a second battery in its own blister pack. Everything is easy to use and works well enough to make a smoker not want to turn back. The extra battery is a real deal breaker as it's a fact of life, you need a spare as at some point your battery needs to be recharged.
As far as the hardware goes, you get everything you need to start out. It is a nice kit and all of the parts are adequate for the job. It is a starter kit however, and once you get started, well, if you are like most vapers, you will start buying and trying all kinds of vaping gear. If you, or someone you know, has not already started out, this kit is a good place to start.
In addition to the hardware, Cricket's kit comes with two bottles of e-juice. You get to choose the nicotine strength and flavor. There are many flavors to choose from. I wish I had known about this kit when I started. I bought everything separately and spent a lot more than I would have by buying a kit like this. Live and learn!
