Innevape - Shanghai Vintage Blend

It's been awhile since I've reviewed any juice as it was all starting to taste the same to me. I had to step back and give my taste buds a break. My dry spell has come to an end. I had an opportunity to try Innevape's Shanghai Vintage Blend and was very impressed.

Shanghai Vintage Blend is the second of five premium blends to be released as part of Innevape's Vintage Blend line. Vintage Blend e-liquids undergo a process in which they are aged in a wood-fired oak barrel in order to enhance the flavor.

The name "Shanghai" does not give one much in the way of clues as to what to expect in terms of flavor. Upon opening a bottle and giving it the sniff test, Shanghai smells like cola. It smells like a high quality cola, no doubt about that. This liquid is made for dripping. The first draw tastes like cola. Once it begins to heat up, the true flavor comes forth. Shanghai is a spicy blend of Chai Tea, Gingseng and Horchata in addition to the fizzy cola base. Of course, I am not sure if there is cola involved, as once you get going this liquid ceases to taste like cola and tastes more like a good Chai T. Think Starbucks.

Shanghai Vintage Blend comes in a 30 ml bottle in a protective pouch and classy looking box. The packaging is as classy as the liquid within. Shanghai is worth every penny of its $28 price as it is definitely a top shelf product and does not disappoint. If you have a taste for rich, exotic, spicy liquids and/or Chai T, you have to give this one a try.

Innevape - Mocha Javape

Innevape describes their Mocha Javape e-liquid as "a delicious blend of mocha java, creamy caramel and french vanilla. Mmmm, mmmm, vapelicious."

The first time I tried Mocha Javape was at the juice bar in Innevape's store in New Port Richey, Fl. A woman came in the store to buy some and told me she was in love with this flavor.  I picked up a tester and tried some.  It was delicious.

Mocha Javape is a rich and robust flavor that is both flavorful and bold.  There is no mistaking the flavor. Layers of creamy caramel, mocha, and french vanilla blend together perfectly with the coffee base to deliver a satisfying designer coffee vaping experience. It didn't take me long to go through the entire bottle.  All day coffee vape?  Yes, all day and everyday until it was gone.

Like all of Innevape's e-liquids, Mocha Javape is 70% VG and 30% PG and produces huge clouds of flavorful vapor. Although it tasted good in a clearomizer in the store, it really satisfies when used in a dripper.

Not everyone is into coffee flavors, but if you are, Innevape's Mocha Javape makes for a delicious and satisfying vape.  Not lacking in flavor, it is as good as one would expect a specialty coffee flavor to be.

Innevape - Vaperception

I've been vaping a bottle of Innevape's Vaperception e-juice on and off for over a month now.

"A flavor within a flavor within a flavor within a flavor. You went 4 levels down… no one’s ever come back from that! Is that chocolate... no, I think it's coconut. No, wait... I know - it's definitely graham cracker, or... maybe a hint of gingerbread. Anyway, I don't care because it's really good... whatever it is. This one gets inside your head and haunts your dreams. Vape tight."

I was really intrigued by the idea of a flavor within a flavor within a flavor.  I bought a 15 ml bottle and started vaping it.  At first I thought it tasted like Caramel Vapeuccinno.  Actually, it tasted exactly like Caramel Vapeucinno.  As hard as I tried, I could not taste any additional flavors.

I consulted others.  I asked them if they ever tried Vaperception and if so what did it taste like? Caramel, butterscotch, hazelnut, coconut, and tobacco were mentioned. I vaped some more.  It still tasted like Caramel Vapeuccino to me.  If anything, expecting to taste the flavors that others mentioned, I tasted a very subtle hint of tobacco.  I did not get coconut, hazelnut or butterscotch at all.

I turned to a fellow vaper who is known for telling the on-line world that Vaperception is her #1 vape.  She said, "I haven't vaped it in awhile. I loved the original version but it started tasting different each time i got it, but i tasted a little mellow choc and coconut and graham cracker on exhale. I loved it. I am going to have to try it again. Someone told me that he keeps changing how he makes it, so i kinda gave up. I loved the original version, it was my favorite all day vape. I thought it was just maybe me that thought it was different, but two others that have been vaping longer than me and loved it said the same thing."

Hmmm, with that in mind, I vaped some more.  It still tasted like Caramel Vappeucinno with the slightest hint of tobacco and possibly graham cracker.  I don't get chocolate and still don't get coconut.

I have been vaping out of this bottle on and off for almost two months in hopes that all of these additional flavors will come forth with steeping. The bottle is now empty and all of these additional flavors elude me. I may try another bottle at some point.

In spite of not tasting flavors within flavors within flavors, Vaperception is a nice vape.  It is creamy and smooth, and obviously made from quality ingredients. Although I was looking forward to layers and layers of flavors, I wasn't overly disappointed as I love Caramel Vapeuccino.  It is one of my all time favorite vapes.  I often wonder if this was a mislabeled bottle.

Innevape - Vulcan Blood

Vulcan Blood is a fairly new addition to the Innevape line-up.  It made its debut in late October along with Iceberg. I wanted to do a review back then but I wasn't sure how to describe it.  I have been sampling it on and off ever since.  In the meantime, Vulcan Blood has become one of Innevape's most popular products. 

 Innevape describes Vulcan Blood as "An absinthe based liquid with a very distinct, spicy flavor. This one is hard to describe, but highly addictive. Who knew the little pointy-eared dudes tasted so good?" - Innevape

In an eGo/CE5 setup, the first flavor I taste is coconut.  After a few good draws, I detect what seems to be a chocolate undertone.   I am not sure.  It also seems to have a cake like texture. It reminds me of German chocolate cake.

German chocolate cake is a chocolate layer cake that was originally known as German's chocolate cake. This cake is famous for its dark chocolate, which was developed by Sam German, and its coconut-pecan frosting which is made with caramel, egg yolks and evaporated milk.

Once I switched over to a pyrex tank and a variable voltage device, I began to pick up a hint of anise. The German Chocolate cake sensation was gone, although the coconut flavoring remained.  Anise is one of several ingredients found in Absinthe which is an anise-flavored spirit derived from the flowers and leaves of Artemisia absinthium (wormwood), green anise, sweet fennel and other medical and culinary herbs. Absinthe is naturally green in color, hence the name Vulcan Blood.

Absinthe was a popular alcoholic drink in late 19th, and early 20th, century France.  It was especially popular among artists, writers and poets such as Ernest Hemmingway, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Oscar Wilde, Vincent van Gogh and Aleister Crowley, to name a few. Social conservatives and prohibitionists fought to ban it and it was banned in the United States and most of Europe between 1915 and the 1990's as it was believed to be an addictive psychoactive drug.

Wormwood is slightly bitter with a strong floral and herbal scent and flavor. Any decent Absinthe must be cool and refreshing with a complex herbal and floral character.  No single herb should stand out from the rest. It is said that a good Absinthe should remind you of an Alpine field or meadow. It should contain both floral and spicy scents and flavors which are balanced in such a way as to "seduce both your palate and nose."  It should taste bitter, but not too much, and have and aniseed flavoring, but not enough to over power the other flavors and scents.

So here we have an Absinthe based e-juice blended with coconut and possibly some type of fruit. It's not a German chocolate cake laced with absinthe as it seemed to be in a plastic clearomizer. Though at times, the cake type sensation seems to reappear. Vulcan Blood is a very pleasant vape which seems to play games with your taste buds. And it is addictive! Totally addictive!

Innevape - Fusion

A soda jerk is a person who prepares and serves sodas and ice cream at a soda fountain.  One of the the soda jerk's specialties is the ice cream soda. An ice cream soda is made by putting flavored syrup into a specially designed tall glass, adding carbonated water and one or two scoops of ice cream. This was a very special treat back in the days when just about every drugstore in the country had a soda fountain inside.

Soda fountains are hard to come by these days, and very few people are employed as soda jerks. If you happen to be a vaper, you can still enjoy a good ice cream soda sensation by vaping a tank or two of Innevape's Fusion e-juice. Yes, Jeff, the master mixologist at Innevape is my personal soda jerk and yours as well.

Fusion just does something to me.  Anytime I am near someone who is vaping it, I become a big fan of "second hand vape." I can smell fusion from across a room as it is one of the very few e-liquids I am capable of recognizing without involving my taste buds. Although the aroma reminds me of ice cream soda treats after a day at the beach as a child, Fusion is best vaped.

I won a Chi You clone mod at an Innevape Vape Meet. After receiving my coveted prize and getting some pointers about how to use it, Jeff asked which juice I wanted in my very first tank.  Why Fusion of course! The stuff tastes really good in a CE4 clearomizer on an Ego, so I could only imagine what it would taste like in a Chi You clone fitted with an I-atty.

Talk about bliss.  Fusion tastes just like an old fashion ice cream soda. It's a blend of root beer and vanilla bean ice cream. The actual recipe is a little more complex as Innevape does not use just any old root beer or vanilla bean flavoring. They use special flavorings that I cannot reveal as it's their trade secret, but take my word for it, its very good stuff and more complex than it sounds.

Do you know that question about being alone on a tropical island?  You know, if you were alone on a tropical island and could only have one book, or one cd, or one friend with you, or one whatever, which would it be?  Well, if you asked me if I were alone on a tropical island and could only have one juice to vape, which would it be?  It would be Fusion.

Innevape - Watermelony

Another 5 star flavor from Innevape.  Watermelony e-liquid is a refreshing blend of watermelon, honey and passion fruit. If you close your eyes as you inhale, this juice will make you think you are biting into a big juicy slice of vine ripened watermelon soaked in passion fruit juice and honey.

Watermelony e-liquid has a natural watermelon flavor rather than the artificial watermelon flavoring used in the popular Jolly Roger candies. Add a touch of honey and passion fruit and you have one delicious and refreshing e-juice that you can vape all day long  if you like.

The addition of honey and passion fruit set Innevape's e-juice apart from many of the other watermelon juices on the market. Straight up watermelon e-juice often tastes either like Jolly Rogers candy or is rather bland. As with watermelon beverages, additional flavoring is needed to make watermelon based e-juice flavorful. Most companies add mint, menthol, or a fruit flavoring such as strawberry, lemon, or lime,  to their watermelon blends.

Innevape decided to use a combination of honey and passion fruit in Watermelony. This combination works well. Passion fruit by itself tends to be a little tart.  Combined with watermelon, it adds a tangy kick to the juice as well as a tropical flavor.  The addition of honey gives the liquid a rich, full bodied taste that is naturally sweet, but not too sweet, tart, and "watermelony".

Curing is a carefully controlled process in which tobacco leaves are gradually dried. There are four major methods of curing tobacco: air-curing, flue-curing, sun-curing and fire-curing. Air-cured tobacco leaves are hung up to dry in well ventilated barns for four to eight weeks. They are generally low in sugar content, giving the tobacco a smooth, light, semi-sweet flavor. They are usually high in nicotine content. Cigar and burley tobaccos are air-cured. Sun-cured tobacco comes from Mediterranean countries such as Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Macedonia. The tobacco is left uncovered in the sun and dried out naturally. This type of tobacco is low in sugar and nicotine. Sun-cured tobacco is used in cigarettes. Fire-cured tobacco is hung in barns where hardwood fires are kept smoldering between three days and ten weeks. This produces a tobacco that is low in sugar and high in nicotine. Pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco and snuff use fire-cured tobaccos. Flue-cured tobacco leaves were originally dried in barns that had flues (metal pipes) running from the barn to external fire boxes that heated the tobacco without exposing it to smoke. Today, oil and gas burners are used within the barn instead. The flu-curing process usually takes three to five days. Flu-cured tobacco usually has a high sugar content and medium to high levels of nicotine. Flu-cured tobacco is the most widely grown tobacco in the United States and is used to make cigarettes, pipe tobacco and chewing tobacco.


Innevape make all of their tobacco based e-juices with natural tobacco extracts rather than with artificial tobacco flavorings. Beehave is made with a honey flue-cured tobacco extract. It is a very deep, rich and complex blend of sweet, smokey and nutty flavors. The honey flavoring provides an element of natural sweetness, the nuttiness adds a savory earthy element to the mix, while the tobacco adds a smokey flavor. No one flavor overwhelms another, they seem to blend together in perfect harmony. Beehave is an excellent juice for vapers who appreciate fine flavored tobaccos. Sweet, mellow, smokey, nutty and very tasty. I get plenty of vapor from Beehave but not so much throat hit. That's ok though, flavor is what I am after and Beehave delivers.

Innevape - TNT Black Label Apple Orchard

Ummm, I spilled some on my tongue and it took me back a few years to picking apples in Upstate New York in the fall.  Delicious memories of apple pie and cider.  

Apple Orchard is one of several fruit flavored tobacco blends that make up Innevape's TNT Black Label line. All TNT Black Label juices are blended with a smooth blonde natural tobacco leaf extract.  It's the real thing, nothing synthetic about it.  Although the apple really stood out when I spilled it on my tongue, the tobacco is the stronger flavor when I vape it. The apple flavoring is very subtle. This is not a typical fruit flavored juice, but rather a smooth apple flavored tobacco vape.

Innevape describes this juice as "A tantalizing blend of 5 delicious, bountiful apples with our signature smooth blonde Virginia tobacco leaf. Your mouth will thank you for getting this one, as we have combined the perfect balance of tart, sweet, and bold flavors to achieve a truly authentic apple tobacco vaping experience."

I like it because I am a big fan of tobacco flavor e-juice.  I especially like it because it is made with naturally extracted tobacco leaves.  The apple, or should I say apples, is a nice touch.  Although I enjoy a good tobacco vape, its nice to be able to change it up once in awhile.  Changing up to a fruit flavored tobacco juice is a nice way to do it. 

If you are a fan of quality tobacco flavored juice, you should like this as the tobacco really stands out.  If you are a big fan of bold fruity flavors, then this is not for you.

The product description reads "Take our smooth tobacco base add a touch of caramel cappuccino, a dash of Irish cream and mocha… and voilà! You have the perfect all day vape." 

Yes, this is a juice you can vape all day.  A very nice blend indeed.  Jeff, the master mind behind Innevape's custom blends, created this one for his sister, Deana.

Caramel Vapeuccino is a fine blend of caramel cappuccino, mocha, Irish cream and tobacco.  It is a coffee lovers dream. A lot of vendors offer caramel cappuccino flavored liquids, mocha juices and even Irish cream blends, but few, if any, blend them all together, with a natural tobacco base to boot. Caramel Vapeuccino is a coffee and tobacco lover's dream come true.  It's a nice early morning vape, as well as an excellent after dinner vape and everything in between.

 Like all of Innevape's ejuice, Caramel Vapeuccino is made with the purist ingredients, including kosher VG and PG in a 70 VG/30 PG ratio.  It produces a lot of vapor and just the right amount of throat hit.  On top of that, it tastes great. Smooth, pleasant, tasty and no caffeine, so you can vape it all day and night if you like.

Innevape is days away from opening a second store.  Who would think that they had time to develop a new juice while renovating one store and building another from scratch?  Not to mention all of the work involved in mixing enough juice to keep up with customer demand.  How do they do it?  Ever hear of sleep deprivation?  Must be.

The new juice is called Iceberg and I was fortunate enough to get a sample today.  It's not officially on the menu yet, but they were giving samples out to anyone who stopped by the store this weekend.  I got mine!!!

Iceberg  is truly a clean and refreshing vape.  My first hit sure tasted like Wrigley's Spearmint gum.  Wow.  Once the first hit was out of the way, I started picking up on additional flavors.  Iceberg is complex. There is definitely a touch of Heisenberg in there.

I am really enjoying this vape.  Not only is it clean, refreshing, fruity and minty, it is full of flavor.  There is nothing subtle about it. I bet you can still taste this juice when your battery is nearly dead and your coil is shot!

Innevape - TNT Red

I like peaches and cream and vanilla ice cream, but as a former smoker, I also like real tobacco. Finding a good quality e-juice that really tastes like tobacco is no easy task.

There are two basic types of tobacco e-liquids on the market. First are those made with either Tobacco Absolute or Tobacco Extract. Although technically derived from tobacco, both Tobacco Absolute and Tobacco Extract are highly concentrated flavoring agents. Tobacco Absolute was originally designed for the perfume and fragrance industry. Most e-juice manufacturers use Perfumer's Apprentice style Tobacco Absolute in their tobacco flavored juices as it is easy to obtain and relatively inexpensive. All tobacco flavored e-juices made with Tobacco Absolute have the same underlying taste. There is no differentiation in relation to the taste of different types of tobaccos. A juice designated as Turkish tobacco will have the same taste as one labled as Virginia tobacco. The second type of tobacco flavored e-juices are those made with naturally extracted tobacco, meaning that the flavor comes from extracted tobacco leaves. This is a process in which the e-juice manufacturer extracts the tobacco flavor from real tobacco leaves. The juice takes on the flavor of the particular leaves being used. In this case, Turkish flavored juices tastes like Turkish tobacco while juice made with Virginia leaves tastes like Virginia tobacco.

Innevape is one of those rare e-juice manufacturers that uses naturally extracted tobacco in their products. They have an entire line of hand made e-juices made with naturally extracted tobacco. TNT is the company's signature flavor which they describe as being a juice "For all the true die hard tobacco lovers. A hand made blend using the extract from fresh natural Virginia cured tobacco leaves." TNT is available in Regular or Menthol flavors.

Innevape has a store in the USA Flea Market in Port Richey, Fl. Here anyone who wanders in is invited to step up to the e-juice bar and try any or all of Innevape's juices. I started off with one or two of their non-TNT blends and then picked up TNT Red and gave it a try. It knocked my socks off. I can honestly say this is the closest thing to a real cigarette I have ever tasted. All that is missing is the taste of burning cigarette paper. As far as the tobacco flavor goes, it is there. This is a smoker's dream come true, the taste of a full flavor cigarette in an e-juice.

I gave TNT Menthol a try as well. There was no doubt it tasted like a full flavored menthol cigarette, which is something I've never cared for. Back in the day, Marlboro and Kool were it. Anyone who smoked those will surely be satisfied with these.
