Vape Crate is a monthly e-juice subscription service based out of London providing premium e-liquids from around the world to its subscribers.

According to a blurb on the Vape Crate website, "Being enthusiastic 'Vapers' ourselves, we found it extremely frustrating that we could not purchase high quality e-liquid in the UK. Having to pay high postage costs to have products sent from all around the world we were forced to purchase sub standard vaping products. Discovering new flavours and vendors proved difficult. We couldn't find a trusted and reputable service which catered to our needs." With those thoughts in mind, Vape Crate was born.

A Vape Crate subscription costs £12.99 the first month and £24.99 a month afterwards. Each box contains three bottles of premium e-liquid guaranteed to total a minimum of 45 ml or higher. Vape Crate promises that subscribers will never get the same flavor twice and they can cancel anytime. The price of the box includes shipping.

Is this the first, or only, such service in the UK?

E-Cig-Club is getting close to launching. You guessed it, it's another e-liquid subscription service. Unlike the other services we have discussed in previous posts, this one is a little different.  Instead of sending you juice from different vendors, E-Cig Club has their own line of juice, consisting of 125 premium flavors and 52 organic juices, for you to choose from.

E-Cig Club is not about introducing you to new flavors from a variety of different vendors, but rather about saving you a trip to the local vape shop. When you sign up with E-Cig Club, you no longer have to go on-line and order juice as it will arrive in your mailbox like clockwork every month.

When you sign up, you choose a starter kit, a membership level, and the flavors you want.  It's as simple as that.  All juice comes in 10 ml bottles. EJuicepack - Review

Vapemail!!!!  A small package from Ejuicepack has arrived.  The first thing I have to tell you about their service is that they are fast. I did not expect anything from them this quick.  My "pack" arrived in a bubble wrap envelope.  Inside was a black pouch wrapped in bubble wrap along with a letter.  The letter is a generic welcome letter explaining who they are and a little bit about their service. There is also a disclaimer stating that their products are intended for adults, age 18 and above, that the juice contains nicotine, so on and so forth.

Now to the good part, the juice.  Inside the black pouch were three 15 ml bottles of e-liquid.  One is a glass bottle with a dropper, the other two are plastic. So, let's start with the glass.  This one is called Applewood by Mountain Oak Vapors. It is an apple nut tobacco flavor.  I am looking forward to giving it a go and a full review. I still have a thing for tobacco flavors. Next is Juicy Watermelon by Ballistic Vape. Summertime must be approaching as I am attracting a lot of melon flavors lately. Last, but not least, is a bottle of Maple Pecan from Mt. Baker.  Honestly, that is a nice surprise as I have never tried a maple pecan flavor before, so that is a nice surprise.

As usual with "box reviews,"  I will review each juice separately and come back here and add links to those reviews, so don't be shy, come back and check from time to time.

So, for $17.99, you get 45 ml of e-juice. You can choose what type of flavor and your nic strength when you order. I chose the "Surprise Me" option.  I appreciate that they surprised me with three unique types of flavor rather than just one.  I got tobacco, fruit and dessert. What is nice here is that you can chose a different flavor profile for each different bottle. If you want all fruit, you can have three bottles of fruity flavors.  If you want three different types, you can choose three different types. Nicpik - Monthly E-Liquid Subscription Service

The latest rage in vaping businesses seems to be e-liquid subscription services.  We just found another one, Nicpic Pak.  Taking a look at their website, we find a clear and concise description of their service:


"The Nicpik Pak is a monthly discovery box for people that Vape .You start out by choosing your flavor theme. We offer a Fruit Pak, Dessert Pak, Menthol Pak, or the variety Pak. After you finish signing up each month you’ll receive a random assortment of samples from different U.S. Manufacturers tailored towards your choice of flavor theme. We pack 5 – 6 different e-liquids and sometimes add other vaping supplies through out your membership. Once you find a flavor you fall in love with check out our Nicpik Pro Pak where you can order a larger amount of your favorite e-liquid."

These six samples will run you $24.99 a month. You can choose a theme and a nic level, as well as a one time "freebie."  The freebie is either an extra bottle of e-liquid or a personal vaporizer. Everything on their website appears to be very straightforward.

In addition to the standard $24.99 a month plan, there is a Gift Plan that ranges from $22.99-$24.99 a month. There doesn't seem to be any details about what is included, just that there are 3, 6 and 12 month options. I am not sure about this, but am guessing it is the same as the standard plan with a bit of a discount when you purchase a  six or twelve month plan. There is also a $39.99 plan that delivers 90 ml, instead of the standard 50 ml, each month. This one is called the "Pro Pak".

As usual with many start-up subscription services, there is no mention of what brands you may get in your pak, just that they are from "different U.S. Manufacturers."

EJuicepack - Monthly Subscription Service

EJuicepack is the newest kid on the monthly e-juice subscription service block. Ejuicepack is a family owned operation developed by two brothers who "were looking for a better and more exciting way to experience vaping." Both brothers are former smokers and established entrepreneurs who are grateful for having found a healthier lifestyle that enables them to enjoy life without smelling like ashtrays.

The guys decided that people don't need to be driving to the store to get e-juice, rather it should be delivered to the door. So, they got to work testing products in order to weed out the good and the bad so they can deliver them straight to your door every month.

Ejuicepack offers subscribers a choice of six subscription plans. These plans are one, three or six month plans. You can choose either a three or a six bottle option for each type of monthly plan.

3 bottles: 17.99 for a single month, 49.99 for three months or 99.99 for six months

6 bottles: 34.99 for a single month, 98.99 for three months or 196.99 for six months

No matter which plan you choose, you get to choose your nicotine level and what type of juice you would like for each individual bottle in the pack.  This is a nice option as you can mix or match.  You can choose one bottle of zero nic candy flavor and two bottles of 18 mg tobacco flavor for example. Nothing is across the board.  Each bottle can be customized using drop down lists.

So, what kind of juice might you get?  I'm not sure.  We have a box on the way and once we get it, we will do a full review.  Stay tuned.

Zodist Review - The Box

Zodist is a monthly e-liquid subscription service. Once you sign up and provide some information about your taste preferences, you receive a small box of hand curated e-liquids every month that you keep your subscription active. Today the first of two Zodist Boxes arrived for review.  The first box is a sample of what you might get should you choose a "surprise me and send what you will" type option.

The box was well packed in a USPS Priority Mail box.  Once I removed the contents I was extremely impressed.  It is obvious that Zodist has put a lot of thought into packaging and presentation. The packaging is very classy and attractive.  The three bottles of e-liquid are packaged in a sturdy black box with a see through window.  The box has black ribbon straps that can be tied together to keep the liquid safe and secure. The bottles inside are packed with thick pieces of brown shredded paper that looks attractive and prevents the bottles from sliding around.

A wax sealed envelop, a business card, a post card and a tiny Zodist sticker come tied to the box with twine. Overall, it looks very impressive.  Inside the envelop is a handwritten card with a short note.  It is a nice personal touch. The post card has a heart in the middle.  It asks you if you love your juice, to place it on the heart and take a picture of it and post it to Facebook with #zodistvape. It also includes a coupon code for 10% off your first box.

Inside the box is the most important part, the juice. Remember this is a "surprise me" box.  I received one 30 ml bottle of Daybreak by teleos.  I am not exactly sure what flavor this is, but opening it up and taking a sniff, it smells wonderful. It smells like banana is in the equation. I also received two 15 ml bottles of juice bringing the total to 60 ml. The first of these is Cosmic Fog Kryptonite. This one smells mysterious.  I will have to give it a taste to figure it out.  The second 15 ml bottle is a bottle of Drakes Vapes Melon Fiasco. It is obvious from looking at, and smelling, these liquids, that all three are high quality e-liquids. All three come in glass bottles.

We will be reviewing the juice in the near future. We will also be reviewing the "custom" box once it arrives. For now, having received this first box, we can assure you that Zodist provides its subscribers with high quality e-liquids that come packaged in style.  Zodist does not skimp on quality in their packaging or their product.  They deliver what they promise, 60 ml of top shelf e-liquid. I have to admit, Zodist exceeded my expectations.

Stomping Grounds Vape Society is a monthly e-juice subscription service. Unlike many of the other services we are aware of, SGVS seems to be a bit different. Looking at their website, it appears that you sign-up, order a box and customize it by choosing exactly what you want in it, and then get that same box every month, or until you make changes to it or cancel.

SGVS offers a fully customizable monthly subscription box that is designed to provide you with e-juice and accessories that you like or need. Each month you will receive two seven to ten ml sample bottles of e-liquid based on your preferences or chosen by you. It appears that this e-liquid is from a company called 7th & Grand. They have a variety of flavors to choose from. In addition, you can have "replaceables" added to your box.  According to the SGVS web site "replaceables are picked depending on your vape brand in your profile and what's available in our shop, so we may send you a pair of coil heads or a couple feet of wick & wire".

For an extra five dollars, you can get two additional samples of e-juice added to your box.  You can also add any items from "The Shop" to your box, as well as take any out of your box.  "Subscribers enjoy the benefits of Free Shipping on all items in our shop, a special discount on ALL items, as well as priority notification on promotional items, specials, sales... etc."

Ok, so what does it cost and what products can I add to my box????  A box is currently priced at $24.99. This is the basic box which seems to consist of two 7-10 ml sample bottles of e-liquid, one regular 15 ml bottle of e-liquid, and two replacement coils.

At the moment it looks like you can choose any of three flavors from 7th & Grand: Cafe Affogato (Coffee & Vanilla Cream); Scout's Honor (Honey & Apple with a hint of hazelnut); or Sidecar Rally (Vanilla Ice Cream & Hazelnut swirl).

In addition, you can add anything you desire from "The Shop."  This includes e-juice from 7th & Grand, Nic-Quid and Halo. Nic-Quid is currently priced at $6.99 a bottle while Halo and 7th & Grand are priced at $12.99. You can add an EVOD Twist Starter Kit for $29.99. A five pack of CE4 clearomizers can be added for $11.99. Then there are Mods and accessories.

Here's another monthly subscription service for you.  I like the name of this one, "Vapemail Club." According to the Vapemail Club's website, "Vapemail Club was created to provide our members with a cost-effective monthly option to receive ejuice and mods for vaporizors. It doesn't matter if your brand new to the vape scene or if you are a hardcore vapaholic, our vape juices and vape supplies offers something for everybody. By connecting with our members and letting their input help shape the company - we hope to set ourselves apart from other monthly mailing companies who only care about dollars and cents."


Like several of the other subscription services, Vapemail Club promises to surprise you every month with new goodies that you will love, and nothing that you dislike. You fill out a short questionnaire when you sign up, and this allows them to customize your order making sure not to give you flavors you aren't fond of or mods you don't need.

The big question for me is always, what kind of juice might I get?  I don't mean flavor, I mean brand. Some services are very vague when it comes to this.  Some send premium brands, some send their own brews, some change it up as they go.  So how about Vapemail Club?  At the moment, they are saying that a full list of brands will be available prior to April 1st-15th enrollment period. Right now they are partnered with Jameson's, Virgin Vapor, Space Jam, HCigar, Kangertech and Five Pawns.  Interesting, but at what price?

There seem to be three plans: The Lunch Pail, The Toolbox and The Shop.  The Lunch Pail is $24.95 a month and you get three bottles of e-liquid. The Toolbox is $44.95 a month and you get three parts or accessories (no e-juice). The Shop is $64.95 a month and you get three bottles of e-liquid and three parts or accessories. All three plans include free shipping and re-order discounts. The Shop also includes a free entry into a monthly give-away.

Zodist Interview

When we first wrote about Zodist, we didn't really know much about them as they were still in the planning stages and had not established themselves yet. They are now very much in business, taking and fulfilling orders.

Zodist is an e-liquid subscription service. A Zodist Box contains two 15 ml bottles and one 30 ml bottle of e-juice. A subscription costs $40 a month and includes shipping and tax. So, for $40 you get 60 ml of curated e-liquid each and every month you remain a subscriber.

When we originally wrote about Zodist they were planning on including juice and an accessory in each box. They were also planning on offering both a $35 plan and a $55 plan. Things have changed. The owners decided it would be better to keep things simple so they can focus on ensuring that their subscribers get the very best e-liquids they can find. They decided not to include accessories and they only have one plan, the $40 plan. We had a nice virtual chat with Zodist and now have a lot more information for you.

VB: Tell us a little bit about yourselves. Were you all smokers? How long have you been vaping?

We have all been vaping for different amounts of time. Tom has been vaping for roughly a year. Tri and Willie have been vaping less than six months. They were extremely burdened by the process of buying juices. Tom had been a heavy chain smoker since the age of 18. Since he picked up a vape, he stopped smoking completely after six months. Willie grew up in a house filled with smoke. He saw the awful effects smoking had on his house, as his father’s decaying health brought turmoil to his family. Tri has been vaping for a little less than six months. After finding out about it he knew this was the answer to help his father quit smoking after more than 40 years.

VB: What inspired you to start this service?

Each of us have spent hundreds of dollars on e-juices that we will never touch again. There are just too many juices out there and too few of them are really insanely great. When we talked to other vapers, it seems they all had many situations where they had buyer’s remorse as well.

VB: Were you aware of all the other services out there at the time you got this idea

Yeah, but none of them had a really convincing way to tell us that they are going to pick an assortment of e-juices that I’ll actually like. There are others that have a similar concept where a person will choose for me, but I don’t see much a difference between going off of a person at a shop and going through them. We wanted a more scientific way, which didn’t exist in the market before us.

VB: What does "Zodist" mean or symbolize?

Zodist embodies someone who continually strives to vape differently. They care about finding their next all day vape and don’t follow the conventional crowd. They care more about the quality than the price tag. They care about the art of vaping, not the sport of vaping. They strive to always improve the vaping community, by contributing, giving back, and always leaving a positive footprint.

VB: Are you limiting the number subscribers you service or not?

Nope, we will not. Zodist is open to anyone who wants to join. We’ve already received a lot of great feedback and have been talked about on the r/e-cigarette subreddit. Seriously, we love Reddit.

On the few times that we have had a customer who didn’t like a single one of their e-juices we sent them, we sent them a replacement for free. Not economically smart for us, but people sign up for us to get three e-juices they love. I will make sure they get no less than that.

VB: You promise that no two boxes will ever be the same. How do you know? Do you track each customer's boxes in a database?

Yup, we keep track of everything that we send out. It’s a very vital part of our flavor picking system. With our current system, the data we receive is pretty basic right now. but based on how much you like the e-juices we send, it can make MUCH sharper choices for the next month’s box.

We’re currently working with some industry experts on helping us revamp it into a MUCH more accurate quiz and then improving EVEN more based on feedback. Imagine finding a new ADV every single month.

VB: What are some of the vendors you have included in past boxes? Will you use same vendors in the future or not?

Mad Alchemist has been a big favorite and big supporter of us. People like Space Jam a lot as well. Other ones have been Vaping Monkey, Vapewell, and Quality over Quantity. We definitely plan to use some of our previous vendors again in the future. We won’t be carrying in a rotating fashion. However, we will make sure that a person won’t get the same juice two months in a row (unless they specifically ask for it).

VB: Why did you decide not to include accessories and focus only on juice? (good idea in my opinion) :-) Were people who had signed up expecting accessories disappointed?

Haha thanks, I think so too. We decided to not include accessories because we like to focus. Yes, we COULD increase our margins by offering accessories, however big margins and a Walter White-esque garage of cash is not our goal. We want to focus on making sure people NEVER spend another dollar on a lousy e-juice. We just want to do one thing and do it really well.

Thankfully, people weren’t upset. We offered them if they wanted another juice or two or be refunded the difference. All of them wanted an extra juice! Which was nice to hear!

The Drip Club

Here we go, another e-liquid subscription service.  They are popping up all over the place.  The Drip Club claims to be "The Best Vape Shop Experience in the Comfort of Your Home." Let's take a look and see what makes them any different than all of the other subscription services we have looked at so far.

Ok, like all of the other e-juice subscription services we know of, you sign up and get e-juice delivered to your vapemailbox every month. In this case, its "at least 30 ml" of e-liquid. If we hit the "Subscribe" button on their site, we see the first big difference between how the Drip Club works and how other subscription services work.

All of the plans we have looked at so far basically require you to subscribe and then they send you juice every month until you cancel.  The Drip Club is a bit different.  They offer three different subscription plans: a one month plan; a three month plan; and a six month plan.  All three are recurring plans, meaning they renew until cancelled. So, what is the purpose of having three different "time limits" if the renew???

First we will look at what they have in common and then we will answer that question.  All three plans include free shipping, 45 ml or more of juice and store credits. Now, here are the differences.  The one month plan costs 29.99 a month. You can cancel anytime. You earn 300 points per month (300 points = one dollar in store credits).  The three month plan costs $28.99 a month, saving you a dollar a month over the one month plan.  You cannot cancel until your three months are up.  You get 900 points, or $3.00, a month in store credits.  The six month plan costs $27.99 a month and you get 1800 points, or $9.00 in store credits. Again, its a six month comittment, there is no cancelling until the six months are over.

So, what are these store credits good for????  The Drip Club has an on-line store where you can buy additional liquid.  Should you get a bottle of juice that you really love, you can just go to their store and order more.  Juices range from zero to twelve mg and are available in 12ml, 15 ml and 30 ml bottles. So far, The Drip Club is partnering with 4SeasonZ Elixers, Alpha Vape, Cyber Liquids, Dr. Mike's Rad Vapors, E-Juice 2 Die 4, Gemini Vapors, Organliq, Potion Vape, Vape Chemist and Vape Craving.

It looks as though you can purchase juice from The Drip Club without a subscription.  Should you choose to subscribe, you will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire which will help The Drip Club make sure that your surprise samples suit your taste preferences.

What I personally like about The Drip Club is the on-line store which makes it easy to order more of any juice you fall in love with.

Zodist - Another E-Juice Subscription Service

Here we go again, another e-juice subscription service.  The more the merrier, right? Everyone likes choice and when it comes to subscription services there are several options now.

Zodist Box is a curated box of e-liquids containing 10-15 ml bottles of juice. These liquids are said to be the best from all over the world. No two boxes will ever be the same and each box will contain an accessory that will enhance your vaping experience. As for what accessories you may get, there isn't any specific information other than that they will be high end accessories. The same goes for the juice.  They do not specify who their partners are but assure us that they will be quality liquids.

There are two plans you can choose from.  A three bottle box will cost you $35 and a five bottle box will cost you $55. These plans both include shipping and sales tax.

At the moment, Zodist are not taking subscriptions, but rather pre-orders. It looks like they are only accepting a limited number of pre-orders, so if you are interested and miss out, you will have to wait until they officially start their subscription service.

UPDATE:  Zodist is now up and running.  Please read our interview with Zodist for more extensive information. Zodist is no longer offering a hardware option as they decided it is best to focus on quality e-liquid.  They are only offering a three bottle plan now, which is priced at $40 a month.

Grin.  Another subscription service. "Smoke juice and atomizers delivered monthly."  Well, honestly, I like the idea of getting new coils or atomizers with my juice.  That is an excellent idea in my opinion.  It reduces shipping costs since you don't have to order juice from one place and coils or atomizers from another. And as most of us know, coils/atomizers don't last forever.

I took a trip over to the Vapor Box website to see what this new box is all about. There is not a lot of information.  Clicking on this link takes you to their blog which explains why this company exists:

This is not much different than what some other e-liquid subscription services do for their subscribers.  What makes the Vapor Box different than most, but not all, other services is that you can choose to have coils, atomizers and even tanks included in your box. 

After reading the information on their blog page, I clicked on the "Get Vapor Box" icon to see what additional information I could gather. Here I found that plans start at $19.99 per month and you can cancel at any time. When I click on "Sign Up," nothing happens. Ooops!

I left a message for one of the co-founders of Vapor Box.  I told him that people are going to want to know what kind of juice they will be getting, as well as what kind of hardware.  Here is their reply:

Thanks so much for the feedback. We will be getting our site up soon with all that information. But here's the rundown.

1. We will be sending you hand picked juices from multiple vendors, including our own lines. You just have to pick your palette (Tobacco, Menthol, Fruit, or Dessert). Then we'll send over flavors according to your selection...you want 2 tobacco flavors? We will send you two delicious tobacco blends. You need 3 fruit ones? We will send you 3 crazy fruit blends we find from high quality US vendors.
2. We will be serving Kanger atomizers and tanks for now. Please let us know what you use so we can add that to the list.
3. You will have your own dashboard which will show you your flavors you received. You will be allowed to stick with a single flavor once you find your favorite.

So, there you go. We hope they will keep in touch with us and let us know when their site is fully functional.
