A churro is also known as a Spanish  or Mexican doughnut. It is a fried-dough pastry that is very popular in Europe, Latin America and some parts of the United States. Churros are fried until they are crunchy and then sprinkled with sugar. They are usually sold by street vendors who make them fresh and sell them hot.

Zen Mind Vapor's Tao of Churro e-liquid is a delicious dessert/bakery flavor e-juice. It produces huge clouds of delectable vapor. The combination of caramel. butterscotch and graham cracker work well with the churro flavoring. And then there is the sensation of vaping sugar crystals, the kind that is commonly sprinkled on churros and other bakery products.

Zen Mind Vapor's Orange Isles is one sticky e-juice. I got some on my fingers. It was like peeling a big fat juicy orange.  It was sticky, tasty and smelled delightful. I discovered that it tastes and smells like coconut and orange when I licked it off my fingers.

Orange Isles is a lively tropical fruit blend with orange being the predominant flavor. It's a funny kind of e-liquid in the sense that it seems to taste a bit different every time I vape it. Sometimes it tastes sweet and fruity and other times it still tastes sweet, but tastes like incense.  Yes, incense.  Now, I've never actually tasted incense, but that is what comes to mind .  Incense is not a bad flavor. It's just different.

Orange Isles is a blend of blood orange, fresh kiwi, papaya and coconut. Blood oranges have a unique flavor profile. They have a citrus taste as well as a raspberry-like flavor that adds a bit of tartness. The orange and coconut seem to be the predominant flavors.  Sometime the orange seems to the the boldest flavor and other times the coconut does. The kiwi and papaya seem to play a supporting role in the mix.  Neither seems to come forth as the dominant flavor, while the orange and coconut flavors seem to take turns.

Overall, this is a very unique and pleasant e-juice to vape. Although this is a fruit vape, it is not overly fruity. Orange Isles comes across a more natural fruit flavor liquid than an artificially sweetened and flavored e-juice. If you like candy sweet fruit vapes, this is not for you.  If you enjoy natural tropical fruit flavors, give it a try as its quite good in its own unique way.

An Elephas is one of two surviving species of Asian elephants. It is said that elephants sometimes get drunk from eating fermented fruits, including fermented figs. According to National Geographic, this is nothing but a myth. In any case. Elephas are fond of fruit, figs and other offerings from trees and plants.

Elephas Dew e-liquid is described as a blend of kiwi, fig and honeysuckle. Zen Mind Vapor's product description reads,  "Elephas is Latin for elephant, which is one of the most exceptional animals in the world. They show empathy, love, and sadness at loss. They can even draw you a picture! This mixture was created for a special person to Zen Mind Vapor, and over time and with some tinkering was found to be an exceptional formulation of traditional Mediterranean and Summertime fruits. Kiwi, Fig, and Honeysuckle all come together in a bold challenge to all that you know about flavor."

Kiwi is also known as Chinese Gooseberry.  It grows on a woody vine and is a fibrous, greenish-brown skinned fruit.  It is bright green on the inside, with rows of tiny, black, edible seeds. It has a sweet and unique flavor which some people say is similar to a sour strawberry.  I'm not too sure about that, but do know that they taste good and are full of healthy nutrients.

Honeysuckle is derived from a fragrant flowering vine.  Hummingbirds love the stuff. It tastes similar to a very light and subtle honey.

And finally, figs.  Figs are said to be the world's healthiest food. They are luscious and sweet, and quite chewy. Most everyone has tried a Fig Newton at least once in their life, right?

Combine these succulent flavors and you have Elephas Dew.  This is a very rich, smooth and creamy vape. It produces huge clouds of tasty vapor. It smells delightful when you open the bottle. It's rather dangerous if you get it on your fingers, as licking it off makes you want to drink the entire bottle.

Elephas Dew is sweet, yet tart.  It's hard to say what the dominant flavor is, as they are combined together in perfect harmony, with no one flavoring over powering another. This is a very unique and complex blend that really works. Should little bottles of Elephas Dew grow on trees, elephants would be all over it. I know I am.

Zen Mind Vapor - Ahimsa

Zen Mind Vapor opened up shop in San Diego, Ca in November 2013. They have an interesting line of e-juice that consists of e-liquids made with USP, kosher approved food-grade bases, which seem to make most e-liquids taste very good when combined with the right flavorings. They were kind enough to send us four of their e-liquids to review.  We were very pleased to find that they included a bottle of Ahimsa in the lot.

Ahimsa means non-violence, non-injury or the absence of the desire to harm any life form.  It is one of the cardinal virtues of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. All life is considered to be sacred and it is believed that when one harms another, he or she is also harms him or her self. It is believed that any form of violence, including the desire to commit a violent act, has karmic consequences. Mahatma Gandhi strongly believed in the principle of ahimsa which includes one's deeds, words and thoughts.

Zen Mind Vapor defines Ahimsa as "being in balance with your outer surroundings and resolving to be peaceful and compassionate with them to the best of your ability."  They created this e-juice to aid others in this quest. Zen Mind Vapor's Ahimsa is described as a perfectly balanced marriage of green tea, apricot and the lightest hint of a very special secret berry.

Ahimsa was ready to vape straight out of the vapemail box.  I tried this e-juice without letting it steep and found it tasted exactly like the exotic premium brand green tea I have in my kitchen cabinet. I find it's hard to find a green tea e-liquid that actually tastes like green tea, Ahimsa is one of the very few that does. The apricot and secret berry enhance the overall flavor making Ahimsa a very pleasant and pleasing vape.

I'm not really good with fruit flavors, but think the secret berry may be raspberry or black raspberry. Combined with the apricot, it adds a subtle sweetness to the overall brew making this combination one that makes for a very pleasant vaping experience.  And least I forget, this liquid produces tons of vapor. This is an e-juice I am sure I will be ordering again and again in the future.

It is interesting to note that the juice turned darker and darker in my tank as I vaped more and more of it. When I removed the tank to put it on another device, I noticed that the liquid looked like it has some kind of solid particles floating in it.  I started wondering if Ahimsa is made from naturally extracted real green tea flavoring. This is the first time I have seen anything like this. Maybe that is why it tastes so much like the tea in my kitchen cabinet. I don't know, but in any case,  Ahimsa is a refreshing green tea vape that will help you feel peaceful and calm and take you to your special place.
