King II Style Stainless Steel Mechanical Mod

King 2 Style Mechanival Mod
The King II Style Stainless Steel Mechanical Mod from angelcigs.com is not only nice looking, but well built and easy to use. The King II has a 510 threaded connector and is designed to use either 18350,18500, or 18650 batteries.  You simply add or subtract the various extension tubes that come with the mod in order to customize it to fit the battery of your choice.

king ii style modThe King II has copper contacts to ensure a good flow of electricity. The positive contact is adjustable in order to ensure a snug fit and good connection. The top cap has six air flow channels which ensure you will get plenty of vapor. The bottom cap contains a spring-loaded switch and a reverse-threaded locking ring.

After adjusting the King II for use with a 18650 battery and making a slight adjustment to the positive contact, my King II was ready to go. Before using it, I took a few moments out to admire the design and workmanship. As I mentioned, mine is the stainless steel version.  The King II also comes in brass and black plus gold versions.

King II Style stainless steel mechanical modThe King II has an image of a lion king laser etched on the front.  A little below the lion king is it says #IMPROOF.  If you turn it around 180 degrees, you will find a serial number etched on the back.  All in all, it's quite a nice looking mod.

Playing around, I found that the extension tubes are nicely threaded and screw on and off effortlessly.  My favorite part of this mode is the recessed spring-loaded button on the bottom.  It is very responsive and not the least bit stiff. It is extremely easy to fire as well as easy to hold. Although there is a locking ring, you can put it down for short periods of time without worrying about locking it as the button is recessed and will not accidentally fire.

Overall, the King II is a solid device. It is similar to the Chi You in appearance and works like a charm. I tried mine with a Patriot Clone, a KayFun Mini V2.1 and a Phoenix Clone.  In all three cases, it fired flawlessly, delivering enough power to produce huge clouds of vapor. I also tried it out with a Genesis style atty. Again, it performed well.

If you are in the market for a heavy duty mechanical mod that won't break the bank, check out the King II. It does the job. Oh, and by the way, the King II is made in the USA. I brought my King II down to The Violet Flame, one of my favorite local vape shops, and Nelson, one of the owners, told me I have to mention that this is a well engineered mod and very solid as it is constructed from heavy duty stainless steel.  This confirms what I have been saying. Nelson went on to say that if a battery exploded in this mod, it will not turn into a pipe bomb and send shrapnel flying all over the place. This is not a flimsy mod, as many clones are.

The King II Style Stainless Steel Mechanical Mod from AngelCigs is the real deal.  Shipping is fast and free, mine arrived in two days,  and the price is hard to beat. Check it out.

  1. Very informative post on the Chinese made King II (Knurled) Stainless Mod. I purchase this clone from AngelCigs about 2 weeks ago. I must have received one of the last in there inventory since I now see that it is out of stock.

One correction to your review of this mod. It may say that it is Made in the USA on the bottom of the fire button, but I can assure you that it was manufactured in China.

Another thing about this King clone ... The AngelCigs website shows the #IMPROOF script on the tube. Mine did [not] come with this script. I am actually glad that it did not, since the #IMPROOF organization in California has nothing to do with this clone.

Anyway, I just want to say that this mod has very good machining and is just an excellent buy ... Highly recommended
