The thought of peanut butter, honey and bananas in an e-liquid sounded appealing.  I let Nic Vape's Blue Suede Shoes steep for several weeks. After filling a tank and inhaling, my tastebuds were greeted by the taste of sweet honey. As the vapor lingered in my mouth and I began to exhale, I could also taste banana. As hard as I tried, I could not taste peanut butter. 

Blue Suede Shoes is a delightfully sweet tasting honey and banana e-liquid. There may be peanut butter in the mix, but I just don't taste it.  That is okay however.  The combination of honey and banana is quite good. The honey is the dominant flavor.  The banana is a nice addition, while the peanut butter is so subtle that you may not taste it at all.

And now for a little history. The peanut butter and banana sandwich was a favorite of singer Elvis Presley. Elvis used to crave different variations this sandwich.  One version, called Fool's Gold Loaf, was made with Italian bread loaded with a pound of bacon, peanut butter and grape jelly. Talk about a heart attack waiting to happen.  A pound of bacon?

Elvis is widely known for his love of peanut butter and banana sandwiches, so many recipes have named this sandwich after him. Some versions call for bacon in addition to peanut butter and banana, while others call for honey. In the book "Elvis and Gladys" by Elaine Dundy, it is said that he had "sandwich after sandwich of his favorite—peanut butter, sliced bananas, and crisp bacon".  Other sources say he also enjoyed a sandwich made with caramelized bananas  and bacon on grilled Hawaiian bread.
