The Kanger Protank 2 is still a very popular tank even though there are several newer models in Kanger's Protank series of tanks. The Protank 2 is a glue-free tank that can easily be disassembled and put back together again. Should the glass break, or any part wear out, you can easily replace it rather than having to buy a new tank. You can also replace the clear glass with colored glass.
The Protank 2 is a 510 threaded tank and will fit on any 510 threaded battery or MOD without the need for an adapter. The Protank 2 is a bottom coil tank that holds 2.5 ml of liquid. The coils are easy to replace and are interchangeable with Protank 1 and EVOD tanks. Replacing a coil is as easy is turning the tank upside down, unscrewing the base, unscrewing the old coil and screwing a new one in its place.
A brand new Kanger Protank 2 comes with two coils (atomizer heads), a 510 drip tip, and a tank consisting of a pyrex tank, top cap, bottom cap and 510 base.
Although Kanger has released several "upgraded" versions of the Protank, I am perfectly happy with the Protank2. I honestly do not see any reason to upgrade. This is a solid tank that delivers a smooth and flavorful vaping experience. The draw can be a bit too airy at times. I resolve this by covering one of the four air holes with my finger. This usually does the trick, giving me a tighter draw.
Every now and then I get a little gurgling and some leakage. Sometimes a little cleaning is needed. Most of the time its just time to change the coil.
